Crafted using the traditional Japanese pottery technique Neriage, layers of different coloured clays are carefully stacked, cut and kneaded together so the pattern becomes part of the clay itself - flowing all the way through the piece rather than simply sitting on the surface.

This particular plate features a beautiful forest green clay beneath a full glazed finish, allowing the depth and natural character of the clay to softly show through.
